Giving red a shot for a day. Started fishing about 930 am. 3 perch so far but no mallards. Lots of lookers- I think mostly perch - but slow action. 8-9 fow, red glow weasel tipped with a fathead. Time to try something else.

Out GMR right now. Been fishing for about an hour now and only 1 12"er. Lots of Lookers. Hopefully gets better.

Had a mini run between 4:30 and 5:30. Two 18" and one 17" between the 2 of us. Another red lake poster brought up how fat the walleyes seemed to be and the ones we caught were also healthy and thick. Seemed to prefer bobber or deadstick. Jigging only brought in lookers. Red hook with a fathead or a colored hook like a weasel or frosty. Color didn't seem to matter but went with a whole minnow. Slow day but was able to connect with a couple nice perch at the start of the day and a few walleye at the end.
