Well just happen to get another nice 16 on the rattle reel while getting things ready to hit the sheets. Plain pink hook and minnow. Maybe it will be a busy night

Well it turned out to be a pretty good night. Ended it with 6 total. Biggest being a fat 18.5. And kept another 16. Threw back 2 15"s and one 14. Did end up losing 2 on the way up. The hot hook was just a plain pink hook with a fathead. Caught all of them on that hook nothing on the other ones. Well now back to jigging.

Great report and Thanks for it, nothing like the sound of a rattle reel going off in the ice house on a cold night. Great job and hope the fish continue to bite.............Kirk

Well after several hours of nothing finally a nice fat 17"er decided to commit suicide. I agree these fish are fat and healthy. Again on a dead stick with a plain pink hook. Been seeing a lot of nice perch on the camera but won't commit. Been throwing everything at them and nothing. We will keep trying till we find something.

Not more to report. Only 2 more 16's till now. Both on the pink hook with rattle reels. Tried jigging with everything we had and not a bite. Guess we will see how the evening bite goes. Starting to see more wheel houses out today. Even seen a truck come out. Should be able to pull houses out by this coming weekend if the cold keeps up.
