We got one at around 8:00pm and then one at 11:00 pm. We did get a few perch last night. We are two miles out of west winds south road. It is windy and the temps are dropping. Fishing for us has been slow. Be safe and good luck.
Was on red Wednesday evening to Saturday morning was out about three miles from the south shore. Two guys wheel house but also had atv and portable. Under 11' didn't catch much but 12-13 did real good. 40" northern pike. Easy limits of walleye. Found it was just as good sitting in one spot as it was bouncing around. Friday night to Saturday morning 10 pm- 9 am had a fish about every 5-10 minutes. Ice was anywhere from 13 to 22 ( thicker ice was previously broken up, stacked up)
Three of us fished out of Beacon Harbor this passed weekend. We did very well on Saturday with 35 fish between the three of us. All fish were between 15 and 18 inches. Silver seemed to be the trigger. Sunday was a bit slower as there was a weather change but we still managed 15.
Our son pretty much schooled his parents this trip. The student surpassed the teacher.
A good time was had by all.
Thanks to Beacon Harbor for the great advise and accommodations.
How deep were you? We’re you in the 12-14’ range like most others who were having success? Did jigging seem to be effective at all or did they come after the dead stick more. Just trying to put a pattern together I will be heading up there Saturday morning and bringing my young sons with for their first time ice fishing so want to get them hooked right away!
