Got up for a quick day trip and got my house out. Found that the fish were pretty finicky and obviously well fed. Did mange a few and got a legal 21.5" with a reward tag. I can't wait to see what the DNR sends me for this. Got a pike and a perch about 30 seconds later for 3 keeper fish, it was a small miracle. Ice was about 16".

In 2013 it was some crappy storm crankbait! I'm not real optimistic. I would prefer the history of the fish like other tags. I have had many of those. The fish was an old male, probably a storied past.

I thought they always sent you the history if you took the time to send in the tag or send info when and where the fish was caught.I wonder what percentage of fish tagged gets back to them?????Lots of work involved I suspect. What is an appropriate "reward" for sending in the tag/and or tag information?????Good luck happy New Years to all!!!!!!!c63

No doubt a keeper is a good reward, but one with a reward tag is even better! I just hope to get history of the fish I love seeing those. I have had some amazing fish that had been caught like 6 times in various locations. This fish has probably been in the winter keeper slot for the past few years, he must have been pretty smart!

Awesome... Finding out the history of the fish is pretty cool. I usually get a couple a year.

I too would like to hear what the reward was or if you found out anything about the history of the fish.

Banded birds are a lot of fun to hear their history and see how far they actually fly during their migrations.
