Great information exchange. This is what this site used to be really good for.

I will be calling Terry's either today or tomorrow and will report back what they state.

Called Terry's. They have a nice clean road out to Shermans, Busters and those flats. Said off road travel with 4x4 and wheel house was not a problem out to Seguchie and 8 Mile. Stated was a big crack east of 8 mile so beware.

Will be heading up tomorrow. Depending on what reports here between now and then plan to go there and give it a shot. Maybe try Seguchie. Will play it by ear a bit to see how crowded and find a place that can cut a bunch of holes and try hop around a bit.

We ended up going out of Terry's. Took his road down to the end and went off road about 1/2 mile and setup on Shermans Flat on the edge from 24-31'. Marked fish pretty much non-stop from 3-6pm. Iced a couple. Probably could have had more but we spent a lot of time letting the kids do the fishing and teaching how to use flasher.

We had all our bites on Jigs. Bobber rods and tip ups had nothing.

Off road navigation did not look overly challenging. We thought about going out 7 or 8 mile but stayed in closer.

We've never marked so many fish in our lives out on the flats. Even if it had been a less than average bite day we would have had a very good day; however, 1 out of 50 marks would bite. Absolutely nothing on live minnows/tip-ups. We tried everything we had to earn more bites but got nothing. Our elementary assumption is that the bait fish population is way too high to see consistent good fishing on that lake.
