Why is Cyrus Resort so high for a road pass? $20 per day or $50 for weekend. It seems all other resorts are $10 per day.

Remember only the government can charge you for using public land. When they say road pass they mean access to the lake from their land.

Just find a public place to enter the lake and hop on the areas where there is less snow "roads".

I will not be going to Cyrus this year then.

Road pass prices have gotten out of control. Everywhere, not just LOTW.

WITH ALL THE WORK THAT THEY DO GETTING THE ROADS OPEN AND KEEPING THEM OPEN I THINK 10- 20 IS WORTH EVERY DOLLAR GET STUCK OUT THERE OR WORSE AND YOU WILL NEVER WORRY ABOUT THE ACCESS FEE AGAIN.

Try to understand that resorts have to pay insurance, vehicle initial cost/maintenance.Additional costs include labor, fuel, bridges, tire chains the list goes on and on.When a 10$road pass customer costs you 250$in time/labor you see how the resort really doesn't make 10$ from each truck/house that crosses "their" road.I understand from the view of average wheelhouse joe that oh 35 paying customers on the ice road means 350$ in profit.NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!!c63

If they didn't make money they wouldn't be making roads and charging people. I'll gladly pay 10 bucks a day to use a resorts access and road. Any more than that I'll just go to different resort that does. Let's change subject why is it 10 bucks a dozen for shiners???? And it seems like when a woman is scooping em she counts em one by one what the heck!!!

If one place charges $20 and another charges $10 and all other things are equal by all means go with the guy that charges $10.

If the guy charging $20 offers roads to places the other guys can't get to and the fishing is going to be that much better than dig a little deeper and hand over the extra $10. In the grand scheme of a trip to LOW I'm not going to get my undies too bunched up over an extra $10.
