Super bowl party~

Nomadic Entertainment Group filed a lawsuit in federal court Tuesday alleging that Mystic Lake Casino canceled a planned temporary concert venue for the Super Bowl without notice after the company spent $2.4 million building the structure.

Not sure they can sue the tribe on they're soverengn land?,reminds me of a casino deal in duluth with the tribe there, moral of the story is Don't do business with the tribes....

Mystic Lake entered into a contract which they now say the builder breached.

It will go to court and be quietly settled.

Transparency isn't something the tribes embrace.

There are 2 sides to every story. I'm sure someone breached the contract and the courts will figure out who. No sense to rush to judgment based on only bits on information from one side.

True, always two sides, but isn't ironic the tribe pulled the pin once the building was done? even the entertainers were booked.

Not sure the timing means anything. I'm sure the tribe would have loved to have a full venue of people coming to the casino this weekend. It would have likely meant a lot more money for them. Instead they are going to have to compete for business against all of the other activities going on this weekend that don't require a 30-45 minute drive out of the city.

What would they have to gain from shutting the concert/event down?

We'll have to wait to hear both sides. On the surface it doesn't add up that the tribe would shut things down for no reason.

Well again you are jumping to conclusions. According to the article I read the venue wasn't 100% done and the band wanted to move things to the casino. So, there is another side.
