Upgrading from a 24V Motorguide to a 36V Ultrex on my bass boat. Any recommendations on who does a good job installing in the metro area? Looks like too much messing around for me.

Jack kordiak at Actions Fishing in Anoka. Probably the best around, no doubt. Call ahead before stopping in, he is not always there.
If you still have your motorguide he might take it as a partial trade too, but he is a minn Kota and humminbird authorized dealer.

Id watch out for that guy.Could be his installations are better than his repairs but I was in there 15 times in a matter of a few months to have a motor he sold me repaired. Each time I left he said it was repaired and the motor still worked like garbage. Finally I had enough and told him so,his response was-How are we going to solve this duke it out in the parking lot.Even had video of him and his pal talking about how much junk minn kota was putting out.

Dont listen to this dude im not going to get i to it but he destroyed his motor due to abuse and kept expecting minn kota to repair it for free. Then the last time his warranty was actually over but we still offerd to fix it for OUR cost on parts and no labor. All and all we lost money on the deal. We would be happy to install your ultrex. We can work with you if you want any custom work done so its the beat install for the shop. Feel free to email me direct at spraun56@gmail.com and we can discuss tearms even tho we are closed today

Yep, always somebody willing to complain...I have had Jack install several motors and bought lots of used stuff from him. Very fair pricing and great work/guy..I wouldn't go anywhere else

I went there twice... haven't been back since and that was years ago. That doesn't mean to say I will bad mouth someone or the business. Just had a bad experience. Others have good experiences. Just like everything in life.

I will take all my boat repairs, electronic installs, or similar to Countryview Marine. They replaced a inboard motor, did a trolling motor, 2 batts, onboard charger, graph, and all the wiring install on my 185 Stingray. Turned out perfect and looks awesome!

I've bought several motors from Jack at Actions. He's also repaired them once thywvw crapped out. I've sent a lot people to Jack through the years without ever hearing a complaint.

Dont listen to me huh?You lost money huh?Im not even sure how you can beat a 55lb thrust transom mount minn kota..By the way I estimate this minn kota costed me well over 500$ in time and fuel lost driving back and forth,un needed parts ect.And just to give all a sense of how I TAKE CARE OF MY FEW POSSESIONS I have 337,000 miles on my truck,Its a 99vintage only has a v6 still runs and drives perfectly, pulls my boat when needed and I drive it daily. Its my only vehicle and I trust it to take me anywhere I need to go.,my outboard is 1986 vintage that runs all day at least three days a week if not more from March until November(i troll ALOT)and it runs like a top and I recieve comments at landings about how it still looks brand new.Unfortunately it ran even more last summer because I got a junk minn kota and even worse service. Seriously do your boat and your wallet a huge favor and go elsewhere, sure wish I had.
