Looking to purchase an eskimo (12 or 18) auger extension. Anyone know if there's a reliable 3rd party manufacturer, or do I have to get the one made by eskimo.

I have the stingray bought it new back in 2014.

The clam extension fits my ion so I have to believe it will fit an Eskimo. They go right inside the auger bit and are extendable, you never have to take them off and they work fantastic. And not real expensive either

Is it the clam 9561? I was looking at that one but it looks like its built for hand augers.

Needing an extension for hand augers doesn't sound like too much fun.

The 9561 is designed for the drill plate, so yes, essentially for hand augers.

It works great on my Ion and I used it before that on my Strikemaster.

Ended up going to D Rock just north of minneapolis. Got myself a strikemaster extension for around 28 bucks. Will have to make mating hole from the extension to auger a little bigger to allow eskimo bolt to pass through.
