I did see and hear a hen maybe 2 calling down by the creek this morning when I was walking my dog before work. I didn't hear any gobbles back but in the city sound doesn't travel as far as it does in the woods. For you guys that live up north let me know if you are hearing anything! Less than 2 weeks now, getting itchy.

Saw a cpl strutters in un cut beans other day north of mora but haven't heard nothing gobbling. .

On a side note I've been in northern Missouri shed hunting our property yesterday and today where turkeys are plentiful here and have not heard a gobble or seen a strutter in a feild.

Worse comes to worst if they are not in the breeding mood yet, would be to sit on a trail where they go to roost, or where they go to eat. It would be like hunting them in the fall. It is much more fun to call them in though. That's why I hunt turkey in the spring and not fall. Time will tell.
There's always the last season F.
I killed my gobbler last year May 23. Was my easiest hunt ever came right in all strutted out. Had the bird down by 6:30 in the morning.

Took this pic last week. The property line I hunt is about 100 yards from this picture. Feeling positive about this year. (sorry for the sideways pic)
