I saw these hens and made a few calls and the hens called back. The toms ran in from the woods. I'd say they are getting ready to go!

Oh man that gets me excited Ming!

Well just saw on my weather app for mora... Friday 3-5" Saturday 3-5" and Sunday 5-8".

My wife said get me out of this dreaded state so we heading to warm Vegas for few days and skip what is hopefully the last snow storm.

Yeah I'm going to have to figure out how to set my ground blind up and get it to blend into the snow. Maybe I just go up a day ahead of time and make a snow fort...

I'm guessing central MN won't be real fun next weekend, I've seen anywhere from 13-24 inches now.

Found the mother load last night, about 100-120 of them, 40 or 50 toms. Knocked on some doors and I'm in! Now I'm excited for season to start.

Went for a little drive today in areas I hunt and saw one big group of birds prolly 40-50 hens and Toms Toms all strutted out and gobbling a little bit. Saw a few lone strutters also. Snow is going down just hope this storm doesn't drop as much as it says it is going to. All north east of Mora.
