I noticed in the classifieds that there is a sale on lithium batteries that are 10 amp hour flasher batteries.

What is the advantage of the lithium battery? My Marcum lx3 will chew a 9 amp hour battery up in about 14 hours when the battery is new. What advantage would I get if I purchased the lithium? I know i would gain 1 amp hour. but what other advantages are there to lithium? It looks like they are $79.

They are lighter and will last you about 3 times longer than a regular battery. My LX-5 will drain a regular battery in 10 hours so I now will only carry one with me instead of the two I usually bring. My father in law bought one and fished for 3 days with his Vexilar FL-28 and the battery still said 88% at the end of the trip. He paid $100 + shipping for his. $79.00 is a good deal and I have 2 of them on order.

so a 10 amp hour lithium will last longer than a 10 amp hour lead acid?
If that's true, I will probably be ordering one
