Well, we are into April and still giving ice reports for Wright county. I was out on Beebe yesterday for a few hours. Ice was still at 2ft thick. Getting soft though and It is chunky. I caught my line on cracks in my hole several times. Still about 4in of snow, so dragging is a drag.

Caught the usual Beebe Suspects, small panfish! Felt more like February out there instead of April. I'm ready for Spring! Maybe if we get alot of snow this weekend, the ice will just sink!

Wow that ice looks bad was it mostly on the bottom half? I got wet already so I hung it up for the year.

Not sure. There was a UTV out there. I'm probably done too. The snow makes dragging a pain and when it melts will be a mess. Maybe more coming too.

But if a guy wants to walk and go light, there are some days left. The shoreline was fine. I'm happy I got out one more time.

Two birds with one stone. You've got a hole to fish out of and ice for your whiskey (if you're into that sort of thing)! Nice work getting one last trip in. With a potential 18" of snow over the weekend, I believe it's a wrap for me until the boat can be floated. They're isn't a fish out there worth dragging 125+ pounds of gear through over a foot of wet snow.

Yeah, it would of worked for that! Yeah, maybe I should go harvest some ice for summer camping trips.

The dragging did about kill me. Getting too old for that crap! Normally late ice is great for dragging, not this year.

The snow will sure mess things up, not the best on weak ice. It will run right thru it when it melts. It's not even like the fish are that much into a late ice deal either. Bring on the ice melt.

I suppose a report wouldn't be complete without a fish pic. Metro crappies special, .
