I guess I'm just not as social as you guys. One of the major reasons why I hunt is to get away from people, dealing with people, hearing people etc...

I've thought about knocking on some doors when I see giant groups of pheasants out in farmers fields. Never grown the balls to do so.

I've met some nice people knocking on doors and become friends with some of them. Some are not nice and not nice about telling you to go shove it but that is the exception. Not a big deal, just walk up introduce yourself ask them about what you want, they either say no or yes. Then move on. What's the worst that can happen?
