Some of those suckers sure get curious over the camera but everyone of those eyes is on a mission to get to the spawning grounds. Amazing how they just know now is the time to make it happen.

Very possible that you saw a sturgeon. The Wolf River chain connects to Lake Winnebago which is where we spear every year. My buddy and I were in Appleton last week and the Wolf is so badly flooded that it is almost impossible to launch. Only saw one small boat on Sat. Peoples cabins and homes are flooded out as well. At this time of year, you will start seeing white bass as well. Can't wait for open water!
