I got out Saturday from prime time to about 10 p.m. Tried shiners, fatheads with jigs & spinners on all our winter hot spots- then I casted some shorelines where we have done well in the past- Completely blanked, not a bite from anything. Did anyone have success? Maybe things will improve when the water heats up a bit- I had 48 degrees on the lower lake-

I was out Saturday evening as well. Did the same thing. Just 1 walleye and a few crappies. Things can only get better from here.

Made it out from midnight to 3am on opener. Lost 2 at the boat, pitching jigs shallow. Also had 49 degree water temps on lower lake.

Fished crappies from 7 til midnight on Friday and did pretty good on 10" - 13" fish. Switched to eyes at midnight and didn't get bit once. Saw lots of eyes shallow but they had no interest in shiners or cranks.

We had a really good opener out there this past Saturday. Water temp was 55 degrees and almost all of the males were mid-spawn with the females already spawned out. Artificial lures out fished live bait 5:1. Reactionary strikes are key right now because feeding is not a top priority for these mid-spawn fish.
