Since I had just posted about sand walleyes, I also was wondering how the smallmouth fishing has been. Anyone had any luck between cedar creek and Malmo? Would like to get the fiancé her first smallmouth.

Fish are deeper now(9to15 fow)...find the largest boulders and you'll find smallies.

Fishing for smallies is the only time my wife has said she had fun fishing... We were in the boundary waters though and catching them left and right on top waters, so it was insanely fun fishing.
