Iím in the market for some new winter boots. I would be using the boots for all winter purposes and of course ice fishing. I am just wondering what some people have and what they recommend. I donít really like the tall boats more the mid height. My old boats were Sorelís and my toes tend to get cold in those and I would also wear 2 pairs of socks. Thank you in advance!

I recently did alot of research on this as well and every place I looked mentioned the same name brands including Baffin. I ended up buying the Baffin Eiger. They are supposed to be the same as the Baffin Impacts but not as tall. These are taller than any other boot I have owned and are about mid calf. I wore them deer hunting this year and it was 15 degrees outside and I wore a thin smartwool sock and my feet stayed warm. From what ive read that is all the sock I should need with these boots all winter, as they are rated to -148. They are a little bulky, but if i could walk around the woods in them, they should be no problem on the ice.

Are there local retailers that carry Baffins? Coming up empty for a store locator on their website.

My dad just got the korker polar vortex 1200 because Scheels had them for half off at Ice Fest and absolutely loves them. I have Muck Arctic Pros and would buy them again as well.
