The wind really is crazy. I'm glad I didn't set up a ground blind in preparation for next week. It would for sure be gone by now.

Birds came down come into feild with with hens. Strutted around at about 145 yards for a bit and came in to give new avian x qrt strut Jake a beatdown. Not a far fight. 4 on 1. I was going to try the guilitine broadheads. Well swing and a miss with it. Could of shot again with regular after but decided not to. By time I left had 8 Tom's in feild giving me a show either strutting around some hens or having a brawl 4x4 turkey style. Pretty cool day. Kinda glad I missed cuz 3 of the 8 Tom's that came out later were dandies. Going back out in morning with my dad to see if we can dbl with the archery.

Headed down to Winona area tomorrow for my 13 year old to hunt for a couple days. First time down in this part of the state. Land owner reports seeing turkeys all the time so we are optimistic.

Lots of gobbles this morning but nothing moved my way. It sounded like there were plenty of hens with them. They went silent now. Hoping one finishes up and heads my way. I probably have to pack up about 11 so it better happen quick.

Did just have a flock of sand hills land in my set which was really cool to see.
