The Bemidji area Chapter of the Minnesota Darkhouse and Angling Association is having their annual Kids Perch Derby on March 7th.

We need some help again this year drilling holes and registering the kids. We are planning on drilling about 2000 holes this year. Augers 6" StrikeMasters and gas will be provided, just show up.

Last year a couple LSFer's helped out, we will start drilling at 9am the derby starts at 1pm. This is planned to be in the area in front of the Hampton Inn.

If you have any questions or want to help, please let me know.

What LSF members helped last year Trent and how many drilled holes. Maybe you could mention their names here. I helped last year drilling holes for the kids its a good event for them and put on with alot of good help and sponsors.

I will be there again this year, if I'm around town! I'll bring the good camera and some waterproof boots!

ahhh trav.. you'll be mssed. It's a great time! The kid's out there are all fired up about the chance to win a bike. Last year we gave away 65 bikes... we are trying for 100 this year.

If anyone can help make this and help put a smile on a kid's face it would be greatly appreciated. Whether it be drilling holes(augers are supplied) starting at 9AM, helping setup tables, bait, registration,or handing out food, or clean up after, it takes alot of people to make this happen. We are aiming for 2000 kids this year.

This is getting closer, anyone else able to come help for the day? It's not hard work, and the smile on the kid's faces makes it all worth it.
