After getting back from a nice long break from school I have found the fish to still be hungry. Fishing hasn't seemed to slow down much. I made one walleye trip so far and was able to scrape up a limit after a few hours. The crappies are still putting the feed bag on. One change that I did notice was they seemed to be more bottom orientated and preferred waxies over minnows, the smaller presentation was key. One thing that was very noticeable was the change in temp outside! Its like a heat wave compared to when I left!! We are now able to drive trucks around most lakes as the snow is mostly all packed down and blown off and the slush is mostly all gone which makes it very nice. I have my humminbird 998 with my lakemaster chip mounted in the truck which makes a world of difference to find those spot on spots. The accuracy of the chip is amazing. I have seen an average of 22-24 inches of ice on different lakes.

I was just up there this past weekend on Plantangenet but didn't have much luck. A few small eye's but nothing worth keeping. The ice conditions have improved 100%. We had no problem driving out to any spot we wanted. Nice crappie!
