I'm new to fishing Lake Bemidji, looking for any tips on getting walleyes out there. What depth does the weed edge start/end. Any tips would be great thanks

For some reason people seem to be tight lipped about bemidji as I've never had much luck getting info about fishing it either. Ill give u the little bit of experience I have fishing it. Shiners seem to work the best for me. Slip bobbers and a minnow or jig and minnow. I never had much luck trolling cranks always seemed to get hung up on weeds. Vertical rip jigging in deep water worked best for me

I have done a fair amount of fishing on Lake Bemidji, however I always hear people talk about doing well on the "DNR bar" and "grassy island." Could anyone explain to me where these spots are on the lake? I would appreciate it.

Grassy Island is south of the State Park about 1 mile and DNR Bar is straight South of the DNR HQ next to CC Club GC on the North end of lake.

Otherwise, go into Taber's Bait; they'll point you in the right direction.
