Bemidji Area Ice updates?

Wondering if anyone has an update on the ice situation? I'm going to be up Dec. 7-9 visiting the in-laws and am hoping to hit a couple of smaller lakes (less than 300 acres with max depth of about 20 feet).

Do you have any updates on the ice conditions of similar sized lakes in the area?

I just went out this evening to try a smaller lakevover by Cass and there was holes like swiss cheese all over and steam rolling all over the ice. Was just to risky to even try and this lake and it had four to five inches just yesterday

I fished a medium sized lake just north of Lake Bemidji yesterday and popped a lot of holes fishing for panfish. Everywhere I drilled there was a solid 4-5 inches of ice. The panfish bite was good, but not as hot as it was two weeks ago.

Also, my holes were freezing over frequently, and with the cold weather we have coming up it should be good ice making weather. Hopefully some of the bigger lakes become fishable on the ice soon.
Tight lines!

Drove by Lake Irving today. 6 portables out there at 2:30p.
I didn't check the ice thickness or see anyone to ask. One of the earliest lakes to freeze at 600 acres and shallow 20 some ft max.

About 4-5 inches is what I have found on the smaller lakes in the area.

I had 8 inches where the wind had blown the snow off and 7 where it had drifted. it was thick enough I plowed a road with my ranger and I'm dragging my spear house out as soon as it's light out. I'm North of Bemidji and my side of the lake is only 14' I haven't been all the way across yet. The way the wind is blowing I won't be today
