What's everyone's go to jig or lure for perch? Heading out this weekend on a perch trip and was wondering what everyone liked to use. I usually use a small pimple. TIA

I've had pretty darn good luck with the perch talker loaded with waxies. For bigger perch or a hot bite, a rattle spoon and minnow head usually wins out. If the bite is really tough, a small bug jig with waxie.

I just got one too. Was at Cabelas and heard some guy talking about how it was the new hot bait of the year and suddenly there were a few in my cart lol. Was planning to try it out tonight but the weather might get the best of me.

Historically a glow diamond head and minnow had been my best perch bait.

My personal favorite is the Custom Jigs and Spins Slender Spoon for perch, but like Ripjiggen said, they'll eat just about anything you throw at them.

I've gotten 90% of my perch on a speed spoon with a waxie. Caught well over 100 of em on it just a couple days ago.

Big perch on Demon or plain hook with large fat head on set line. Buckshot or Rattlin Flyer with minnow head on jigging line.
