Catfishing is improving as the spawn is starting to wind down. Fish are still being caught tight to structure but bigger post spawn fish are starting to get out and feed in the holes and on the break lines. The key to success is LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION and getting the bait right in front of the fish. Bait really doesn't matter as long as its in the spot where the fish are. 15-20 minute sit times seem to be working to keep searching for active fish.

The recent rains of mid-week may slow the bite some over the weekend and make fishing difficult with debris floating in the river but it is just what the doctor ordered to get post spawn catfish into high gear.
