Well that sucks.

Having a (for the most part) respectful discussion, and someone axes it.

I was on the opposing side for the most part and I felt like it was a fairly level headed debate. I also thought we were moving it into a productive area once we started talking about worker programs and other areas in which we could improve the immigration issue beyond a just the wall.

For a site starved for new content anything that gets people involved seems like it should be welcomed, especially when it was generally a pretty civil discussion.

I agree some threads become beating the dead horse syndrome. However I agree with others that this one was not to the point of insults and personal attacks which often end threads. Tough to be a moderator [ I was one once] and they do what they have to do. good luck.

The thing about that image is that anyone could use it. My opinion is no less American then yours, or the guy down the block.

Sure anyone can use it but Bob is expressing his feelings which for example I agree with. Also I think Bob or me would agree with you that you love our great country but just have different views or ideas to help keep it that way and I bet there are a lot of pictures out there to go along with them. NoFish I think you are one of the best posters on here. good luck.
