It's been a grind to start the season off with fish in mid winter patterns already. I've had limited success on a handful of bodies of water recently. The bite has been light and the fish have been on the move. I did bring a couple home for some surf and turf the other day. I'm waiting for a bit more ice to get to some areas I'd really like to key in on. Until then, I'll take what I can get.

What's the ice looking like? I haven't been out yet, don't trust it after these warm stretches...

I've found anywhere from 7"-11". The warm spell has helped knock the snow down. She was making ice after dark yesterday. I was on 10" and the house was jumping like it was on hydraulics.

Wow that's alot more than I was expecting. Maybe it is time to get out!

How did this storm hit that area, mostly rain like in the cities or are you getting snow?

All rain while I was out last night. Cleats are highly recommended until we get some fresh snow.
