It's a little early to get this started but I put my camera up ahead of spring turkey just to see. Lots of action in a few days, no turkey but still fun to see whats trampling an active game trail. Who else has a camera up right now?

I leave mine out all year, got a new group of does in at home, so that's kinda nice, no critters yet, though I did see a 5x5 buck with both antlers still cross the road 2 weeks ago!! Unreal.

That's a Smoke-phase turkey.....a few weeks back at my land I saw a group cross the road and when I drove past there was one just like that. I wasnt able to get a pic on my cell but have the cams up and hope I get some good shots like yours.- not a domestic hybrid like some might think?

I also know you can have red phase, black phase, and all albino....I guess with the smoke-phase it is very rare for it to be a Tom and almost always a hen which is bummer for Spring hunters.

Next cam pull I should have some good ones to throw up here

Wow that smoke phase turkey is really cool, a tom that color would make an awesome mount...

Rockbass is that a wolf? Do you get them on your cameras often? Where is your camera?

All of my friends said coyote; but just because I know the distance and proximity of where that picture was taken, my 55 pound lab would look small compared to that. hybrid maybe? I dont know. we have had wolves in the area that I know of. Area 242.

That has a big neck and body for a yote, but it does look like one otherwise.

I am no expert but have been running around 5-10 cams per year for the last 5....I would say no doubt a yote, it is a really nice one and maybe a chance of a hybrid but still think straight yote. I am in Wadena and have only had a few wolves come through on cameras, when they do there is no doubt they are wolves

with all these yote pics I wish I would see more predator hunters....i tried to get a thread going and no one seems to have interest. There litters are just getting born so they will be out heavy, especially when the fawns hit the ground those yotes will be sweeping them up!

There is a smoke phase up here as well, I have seen her twice this week. She is cool to see and really stands out this time of year but has a distinct advantage in the winter!
