fishing at night is hit or miss (for me mostly miss).But i do know that you can do ok on stony point and sometimes sand point area day and night. hiawatha beach has some rentals .
I have a humminbird 45 and like it but would have bought a vexilar. humminbird does not have a set up so you can put it in your boat and vexilar does so if you think your gonna wanna use it during both seasons (ice and summer) buy a vexilar

I was going to try detroit but I have no clue how to fish or where to fish. Can you give any suggestions on where to go or if you wanna meet up? let me know
I have never ice fished the area but am going out sat too so if you need one pm me and we can set it up…
Is there any color that works better then another ? I have never fished detroit before and am thinking of trying it this weekend.
If you are on west side of the lake sand point area can be good. early ice we do decent around ceder point and late ice is always good on the north side of sand.
