fishing at night is hit or miss (for me mostly miss).But i do know that you can do ok on stony point and sometimes sand point area day and night. hiawatha beach has some rentals .

I have a humminbird 45 and like it but would have bought a vexilar. humminbird does not have a set up so you can put it in your boat and vexilar does so if you think your gonna wanna use it during both seasons (ice and summer) buy a vexilar

Was wondering if you have to worry about your HDS freezing or being wrecked by the cold? Im assuming thats a HDS. btw thats the sweetest set up i have seen!!

I was going to try detroit but I have no clue how to fish or where to fish. Can you give any suggestions on where to go or if you wanna meet up? let me know

If you are on west side of the lake sand point area can be good. early ice we do decent around ceder point and late ice is always good on the north side of sand.
