Looking to get a holster for my full size 1911. Looking for something that keep the gun tight to my waist. Any ideas ?

        OWB or IWB? Leather/kydex?

What features are you looking for? If leather, you need to decide if you are doing a thumb break, or just boned/fitted.

There are a ton of holsters out there, and you need to set the parameters for what you want. For simple and bare bones, a yaqui slide is tough to beat, but it does a lot of the gun exposed. Otherwise a simple pancake holster is a pretty safe bet, doing everything OK, but nothing great.

I personally carry in a Sideguard Holsters Double clip for IWB, and The Snap for OWB/IDPA.

Pancake holsters are nice, but nothing beats a nice leather Galco holster. Just don’t go with suede, trust me on that. Made that mistake back when I got my Springfield Emmisary from https://gritrsports.com gun store, and oh boy, it was rough on hot summer days.
