Since the water temps in the metro are to hot to fish lately I thought I’d report on some muskie action since this thread seems to have died! Started the season out with a bang pre fishing for the metro tourney with a 39er. During the tourney didn’t even see a fish! Hit some more metro lakes in June but pretty typical for the metro. I managed a 43″ in June as well. Then things got hot, we sold our house in isanti and are building back in the metro. I did have a unbelievable 6 fish day Saturday and lost number 7 on the outside of the net. Headed north to find cool water that lasted for a day but is to hot again!251.5″ of muskie in my boat in one day. 46,43.5,43,42,41, and 36. Has anyone else been fishing need to see some more muskie guys on here!

I made it out during the week last week and managed to boat a 42 & 37. They were both caught in the same spot in consecutive casts. Also my first of the year while muskie fishing.

Got a 48″ on leech lake Monday eve on a sucker. Yesterday no fish but had some strikes on suicks and spinners. Could have been pike who knows . I have a pic but it won’t upload. Will try again

What looked like a amazing day for tonka turned out to be not so hot! A little 34″. but a tagged fish, kinda cool never got one of those before. Couldn’t read any numbers tho. On the bright side boat traffic was non existent! One other little one tried to eat and a low 40 followed slow 75-77 water temps out there. Hopefully the cool weather sticks around after this week!

Here’s a few from this summer and one from April down on Cave Run. Two Hayward area Wisconsin 50’s have greeted the boat as well. Been a good year so far. ” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />
