          Little bit more east, but the snow has melted and ice looks prime for this week. Cromwell area lakes.

            I was out in Cromwell this weekend. Landings were very bad with a foot of water and shelf ice. Lots of shelf ice on the lake too. travel was difficult at times. Bite was off, did not do well. Still plenty of ice.

                in Duluth this last weekend I was able to drive on the crust in the early morning. Hard work getting back to the ramp in afternoon. Lots of shelf ice braking through every 10 feet of distance, wheeler got a real workout. All my gear was soaked tub full of slush / water.

                      Figure we got a couple more days before the shelf gets to weak for walks,no cigar,drilled quite a few holes. As for them crappie,,,notta.

                        I got a couple but it was a bust. Tough lake to figure out. About 1 in 5 trips is good.
