Barn pigeons?

Does anyone have a line on barn pigeons for pup training? Used to trap my own but my gear is long since gone. Prefer live and close to Carver county f possible. PM me. Or email at dan8026 at gee mail dot com.

most game farms will have them when they re-open or check the web for retriever trainers,just a thought.

I do know from experience you do not want to call the Craig’s list adds that people have pigeons for sale unless they specifically state for dog training, for some reason people get all sorts of irate when you want to buy their homing pigeons for this. ” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Thats true loopy,however I had a pigeon breeder that raced these critters,he gave me what they call 2nd class birds not cut out for racing,so thats a thought as well.

Ain’t that the truth!! Hahaha!!

I did a quick search on C/L… You’d think these birds were made of gold! $10 to $20 for a single used training aid? No thanks.

Made a few phone calls, a few clicks of the mouse… Found two barns I can hit with my brand spankin’ new pigeon trap on it’s way from Gun Dog Supply.

If trapping goes well… I’ll build a small coop and keep a few around for “like minded individuals” training their hunting buddies.
