So who’s ready to chase some Bucketmouths/Bronzebacks? It will be nice this year to be able to hit the lakes the same time as the eye guys and not have to wait the extra two weeks(C&R only).

I’m currently cleaning up a few reels, trying some new baits out and will be taking the boat for a spin to make sure it is ready to go. Also trying to figure out what lakes to hit, since this will be the first year that certain lakes may be pretty busy on Bass Opener.

      Bring on the Opener!

I won’t be chasing bucket mouths but will be chasing smallies on the river. Which river is TBD yet.

I agree opener should be a blast this year (c&r) for bass. I missed spawn last year, so pre spawn should be fun. Glad to see other guys wanting to smack them bucket mouths.

I would like to see some rain between now and opener, my area lakes are looking very low.

I corrected by original post to include those hard fighting smallies! <img decoding=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

True about the water levels, I’m sure some of the shallow waters may be extra shallow this year. Rivers might be tough too.
