Best bait shops around area????

Looking for best or (ANY)bait shops around Bemidji area?

Since Taber’s has closed up no one has yet to really fill the spot completely. I drive to Hackensack and go to Swanson’s as they have the best bait around and hold and treat their live bait much like Ron at Taber’s always did.

There is a new sporting goods store with bait called Destination Sporting Goods on Paul Bunyan Drive across from Taco Bell and Pizza Hut.

Trappers Bait shop is on 71 north of town by Turtle River.

I think the Cenex station on the SE side of the Hwy 2 and 71 intersection has bait too.

I heard L & M Fleet was getting into the Bait Business. I use Rock Creek General Store at the north entrance to Itasca Park because it close for me.

Thanks for suggestions will try trappers or new one by Taco Bell hope they have shiners this coming midweek.

Timberline sports in Blackduck would be your best bet for getting shinners

Was in Destination Sporting Goods this winter. Its a nice place with quality gear and knowledgeable staff. For sure the type of place I like to support.

Chris63, which day/s will you be up in bemidji? I was thinking of heading up also for a day. My BIL lives there and is getting me a report. He usually has some spots narrowed down to help decrease my search area. Pm if you like. If were up the same time we could work together. Good luck.

Trappers on 71 is a good place. The ow ers are super nice and very helpful. Definitely a good place to support.
