I did a series on my biggest bass for summer 2017. Are 5 pounders big largemouth bass in MN? I think so, how about you?

I prefer to find smaller bass in the 1-2 pound range. Much better eating quality. Those big ones are pretty mushy, but are decent smoked.

Catching a 5lb bass is a BLAST. Those things are tanks!

To me a frog/topwater makes it even better!
