      fished this a few times in the spring and summer the last few years. wondering if anyone ice fishes this lake, and secondly, with it being a designated trout lake can one use a gas auger on it?

      also wondering about the Crosby/Ironton

          Yes you can use a gas auger. But you can only use 1 line. The cuyuga mine pits are open to ice fishing.

            does anyone know how the fishing has been on blue? is it stocked? if so how often? any spots on the lake to stay away from due to springs or other ice hazards?

              It’s stocked every year. It’s also not a designated trout lake. So you can fish it whenever, but only target trout during the open season. Also, because it’s not designated, you can use 2 lines, as well as live minnows.

              Live minnows are the best bait for winter rainbows (where legal).

                anyone been by blue, to check ice or been out there to fish at all? trying to lock down some ice fishing next weekend.
