      I have been out hunting a fair amount recently, and I’m not sure why but seems like the deer are only moving at night. My cameras are saying the same thing. Wondering how it’s going with other bow hunters.

        Deer are nocturnal, and by nature, will primarily move at night. Changes in temperature, food sources and pre rut activity will create more daytime movement. Your daytime camera photos should increase as the season moves along. Good luck

          I’ve been getting deer on camera at 11:30 am, 4:30 pm. Went to swap chips the other day around 3 pm and had to wait for a massive 6 pointer to clear the field I was walking through. <img decoding=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

            Excess pressure in an area will push to more night movement. Also mature deer are prone to it. Put a camera on a main scrape and I bet if not pressured hard he will appear daylight shortly

              I checked my cameras last week and one camera had mainly night time photos and the other had exclusively day time photos. The 2 cameras are maybe 150 yards apart but set up on different travel routes.

              If you’re not seeing any day time activity you can also start looking at other areas to see if those areas are more active.

                Not seeing a lot of bucks out in daylight right now but tons of does and fawns . Things will get better once crops start coming out and they get a little horny…

                  Every time I’ve sat this year I’ve seen deer. And that is 8 or 9 times in a row. Granted big bucks on my trail cams are showing up a night. I have seen a few smaller bucks right before dark. The area I hunt I’m the only bowhunter around for quite a distance so the deer are not pressured very hard. I used my bonus tag earlier in September on a nice doe. Main thing is stay scent free. I know that is common sense. If your dragging scent in and out the deer are going to avoid that area and you won’t see anything. I haven’t had one deer yet this year blow at me. Play the wind and good luck.
