So… in supporting a local DU Chapter, I recently bought a weeks’ stay at a resort on Kabetogama from their auction! Glad to support DU whenever I can.
My brother will be coming up from TX, and we have the last week of July booked. We are both very looking forward to this trip! We have a 20+ year annual ice fishing trip to LOW, now we may have to start a summer annual ritual.
We hold our own on the ice bite, but would like a little input for the soft water. I do not want to be the one to ask for any honey holes; but rather, just checking if anyone wants to chime in on what we should be looking at for bait and presentation at this time of year. We are looking to target fish for dinner, and we both enjoy walleye and pike. I know the resort will gladly sell us bait, but would like to also give the bait shop owners along the way some business too! Always enjoy stopping in Cook for that.
Leeches? Crawlers? Jigs? Lindy rigs? Trolling stick baits?
