What does everyone consider a mounting sunfish? I hear lots of different things from 10-12 inches. Just curious what everyone thinks.
I got my first 10″ gill this summer. 11″ would be my number for the wall. It really depends on the color too me with gills. Through the ice or early spring they just have a brightness that is incredible.

Timjo was nice enough to drop by and pick the fish up this evening. What a great guy! I have a few months wait ahead of me but couldn’t be happier knowing it’s in the best hands around. I’ll report back with pics in 12.months.

I was able to pick up my Timjo replica yesterday evening and WOW was it worth the wait. Pictures do not do this mount justice. The attention to detail, the coloring, the mold itself is just fantastic. Considering how difficult it was to match colors because of the terrible lighting I had in my original pictures he hit a home run on this. I tried to get some shots in different lights to really give an idea of how great his work is but the camera has a tough time capturing how great this turned out. A huge thanks to Tim for this one and it was a pleasure hanging out with you and your wife for a bit yesterday. I can only hope to get another specimen to you in the future!

Congrats! That is one beautiful job!
I don’t think I will get one like that due to the fact I have a 6″ auger for hard water fishing! You must have a 10″ auger to get that one up on the top side!

This fish was 16″ out of the water and 15 3/4″ after freezing and thawing. I use an 8″ auger so it was tight but doable. I pulled a 15 1/4″ crappie out this winter again and lost a book end white crappie of the one timjo did for me. That fish would be going directly next to this one had I not botched it at the last second.
