I spent yesterday afternoon/evening fishing with a good friend of mine in the OT area. We took the wheeler out and setup in a shallower basin that maxed out at 12 FOW. There was 10″ of great ice. Frostee spoons with minnow heads did most of the damage. The single walleye came on a rattlin flyer. No takers on the set lines. We did manage some serious bull gills well after dark which was very strange but a welcome surprise. We brought enough back to his cabin to do a first trip surf and turf with some fresh back strap. Great way to kick things off with many drinks and a seriously great meal to end the day.

Now that looks like a job well done! The meal doesn’t look half bad either… <img decoding=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />
