Went to Fleet Farm over the weekend to check out the Eskimo quick flip II deluxe for $249.99 per the ad delivered to my house.

Headed to the sporting goods section where there was very little out in the way of ice fishing gear. They had one portable out and it was the Eskimo from the add. Unfortunately there was a tag on it that said there was a misprint in the add and the price was actually $309.99. “Sorry for any inconvenience.”

Not as sorry as I was for driving 30 miles to get there!!

I thought if the price in the add was wrong they had to honor it no matter what (at least in minnesota)? I seem to remember another discussion about this somewhere?

What you need to do is bring the add into gander mountain. Not only will they match the price but I think they will give you another 10% – 20% off or something like that. A guy has to take advantage off the system sometimes!! They wouldn’t do the price match gaurantee if they didn’t want you to use it right!!!

That is a great idea TireKicker. I did not think of that. Only problem is, after inspection I decided I was going to go with a Fish Trap or a Frabill.

The bench seat on the Eskimo was not deep enough (IMO) and the tent was pretty thin. I have been checking out the new Fish Trap X. It looks awesome, but the weight might push me to a regular Fish Trap. What I liked most about the Eskimo was that price of $250, but like Dad always said “you get what you pay for.”

Try checking out the otter wilderness series houses. I got the 2 man walleye and it is nice. I used it all last season and it worked flawless. I got it for 320 last year.

If a store’s ad prints a sales price. They are obligated to sell you the product at that price.

Most Ganders have gone to price matching only and are not doing the extra 10-20% deal anymore. They were losing their rear ends on deals like that.

If the store catches the misprint and has a sign up that this is a misprint on a item they are covering the mistake if they don’t have something stating the mistake they are opligated to the incorrect price

Its not what you know but who you know

Gander Mountain would not honor this sale either. Somebody would call from Gander to confirm that they had the item instock and that the sale was current. Also, they no longer give you any sort of cash if a better deal is found elsewhere and they will only price match on regular price or sale prices (no clearance prices).
