Heading up tonight after work. Was wondering if anyone could tip me off to a stream or two the has been doing well on the fly. Maybe even share what is currently hatching. Any and all help will greatly be appreciated.

tough time of year for fly fishing, early morning late evening might be the best bet,I suggest hiking up one of the many streams along the shore as they are all stocked, not sure if the fishery is still open at the french river but if it is stop in and chat with the dnr personel they can fill you in on more details.

Also look to slack water for feeding activeity later in the day for suface feeders, water will be high after all the rain the shaore has had lately.

After the rains of this week you may have a shot at some stockers in the rivers.

The Stewart River just north of Two Harbors was always a favorite of mine. I would fish it up about three bends of the river from the 61 pull off.
