I spent some time last Friday giving the full moon trolling bite on an area lake. I did it a bit unconventional from what I am used to and broke out the kayak. Trolled speeds of 1.8-2.3 mph pulling a #5 Shad Rap in 5-8 fow.

Ended up keeping 2 fish, missing 4 others. I had the lake to myself for much of the time which was a bit surprising for how full the access was when I launched.

Night fishing in a kayak!? That’s a bold move my friend. I hope you had enough lights to string up a Christmas tree on that thing!

If it doesn't matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score? Vince Lombardi

Trolling with motor or human power?

          Sounds very peaceful.

Mosquito’s and bugs bother you at all?

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Yes, did have lights so that I was visible by others. I’ll be adding a reflective flag to go on my light pole before next time as well.</p>
No trolling motor, but I do have a pedal drive system. Pedaled for roughly 3 hours, wasn’t too bad actually.

As for bugs, they weren’t any worse than in the boat. Going with the wind was worse than against.
