I finally got a chance to get out with Walleyesfornothin.
We decided to hit it early on Saturday morning with the predicted heat for the day. Starting off on a weedline working 12-18 ft with some small perch, gills and feisty pike with spinners behind a bottom bouncer. I was pulling crawlers and kyle was pulling leeches. We located walleyes in a couple spots and put a dozen in the boat, selecting a few nice eaters for kyle to take home. Around 10:30 the clouds moved off and the wind died so we opted to pull cranks for a bit. A few more walleyes, perch and gills were caught on various shad baits pulled off the weedline but nothing big enough to keep except for one that got off half way in. We both agreed we had enough and decided to call it a day and beat the heat after a quick zip around the lake to cool off. It was a nice to get out and tighten the lines!

That’s a nice haul sir! I’ve been up to my neck in panfish, especially big gills, in all of the deep structure I’ve been fishing lately. It’s not necessarily a bad problem to have but they sure can put a hurt on your crawler inventory! Great to see some quality fish being found.
If it doesn't matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score? Vince Lombardi
That is a nice reminder that walleyes can still be caught in July. I had a couple poor walleye outings and switched to pan fish. It has been a blast, but would like to get some eyes again.
