Kyle jumped in with me early Saturday morning and we made the run to a Hutch area lake to start the new season. We were on the water by 5 am. Started pitching jigs and some shiner imitating soft plastics that he just made Friday. We connected with a couple eater walleyes and some pike in 3-5 fow and then worked our way out to 6-9. We quit at 11 am with about a dozen walleyes, the biggest at 22″. All but that one were caught on plastics which was pretty sweet. We saw plenty of fish caught dragging live bait around also. It was a great start to the season!
Nice job guys!! opener on Sat. was slow for me but on Sunday around the Hutch area got 9 pike all over 26 inches biggest was 31 inches that was fun. Did not see any bass but I will go with what’s hitting.
