After getting my new to me boat home Friday night and rigging it most of the day Saturday my son and I made it out for fishing opener in the evening. We picked out a point on the west side of the lake we chose and anchor locked a long casting distance from the weed line, which was up to to surface. The east wind slowly faded while we pitched jigs with twisters and paddle tails as well as a few stickbaits. The new boat broke in well and we collected a half dozen 15-18″ walleyes and released a few above and below that. Water clarity was very clear which was a bit surprising. The weather and fishing was awesome and it sure felt good to catch a bunch of feisty walleyes!

Great fish Ret-ro and good to hear your new rig is up and running with no issues.

Nice fish. Water was pretty clear up this way too compared to how it will be in a month or so.
