      Ice Report for The Red Door Resort 12-3-14

      While checking ice conditions today we found 8-10.5 inches of ice out front the resort. We found 10-10.5 in most areas. The 8 inches was found straight south of Knox Point about a mile. This 8 inch area will now need to be monitored.

      The crack and pressure ridge area close to shore has been moving with the changes in temperature. We currently have a plywood bridge crossing the crack east of our access on shore.

      No fishing reports to mention…

        We went out saturday 11am-6:30pm. we got 3 walleye for 5 people. 22″, 19″ 10″. in 14-18′ fow. all came on shiners 22″ on a tip up. the guy next to use got 3 mid day 24″22″ 18″ which we saw all of them. he said he was bangin a big buckshot on the bottom and they were coming out of nowhere. hope this helps.

          Any ice updates? I’ll be up Sunday and Monday fishing out of the Door. Hope this warm spell doesn’t affect that crack near shore too bad. Haven’t heard much for fishing reports up that way, any updates appreciated.
