Well,,,out from 21st E. Was @1/2 dozen portable up to@1/2 mile out. Out from Lester river,,,lots of lookers,but no takers,,,yet.

So will we see more mishaps as folks target gear lost on the ice flow?

suspect some won’t be-able to resist the temptation.

From the reports of guides/news/people out there. If interested and understanding risks involved/safety measures needed. Paying attention to the winds!
This might be a time for one with the resources available to take advantage of this unique situation.

I can confirm the ice is gone. Was on the north shore thursday-sunday. Thursday morning on the way up there were still a few people out on the ice just north of duluth but it was open water as far as you could see past them. Couldn’t believe they were out there. Driving home sunday the ice had all broken up with the warm and wind of the weekend.
