      Does anyone have any ice reports for the metro? I’m going out on Saturday.

        Was out last Friday and found 5 inches mostly..im sure with this last few days we’ve added so walking out shouldn’t be a big deal..no driving though for sure but I’m sure someone will attempt it <img decoding=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

          Went out to owasso on my lunch break to check ice. There is 6 inches out from the boat launch. To the right of the boat launch in the middle of the lake it’s open water. There was one guy in a portable out there.

            I checked ice on Wed. 11/28 on a lake not far from Owasso and found 6 inches on each hole I cut. Clear black ice. I went out quite a ways. Although it looked like a lot of ice towards the middle was freshly frozen, there was a distinct line where you could tell the water froze at different times. I did not check that ice, it may have been walkable but I just stayed left of that “line”. I plan to go out Saturday afternoon/evening.

              Anyone have any updates on the ice out there in the metro? Was out morning of Dec 24th on WhiteBear. Slush on top and soft Ice. But there was about 8″ of it.

                  My buddy and I were out on Prior on Sat. Found 8-10″ of clear ice in most spots with 2-4″ of frozen slush on top. Tons of people out there with 1/2 ton trucks and permanent ice houses driving around. Couldn’t believe the traffic. Counted 4 vehicles around one ice shack. Ice was cracking all day. Managed some nice bass and pike on tip-ups and roughly a dozen panfish.
